Dark and Dark

Dark and dark
Thou hath broken my heart
I am all broken before thee

Dark and dark looming around me
By pot and pan
By child and by man
I am all broken before thee

All has been given
And forgot I that all returned must be?
I am crushed by the weight
Of my dark and dark
Broken heart
I am all broken before thee

Feel my hurt
Cup it, broken and all

Raise me, from dark and dark
Forgive me
What I withheld
It is thine, after all
Restore my soul, and my shine

Never fret
Come, now , am I not at thy side
Shy bride?

Thine eye tender
Thy small kinder
Kinder and kine
Thou and thine
Mine, dear bride
And never will I suffer thee long to cry
