Pilgrim 1977

With gray cloak, and under cover of calmest night
I will slip away with the fatherless child
And when I am gone
No-one will know it
No-one will even look for me,
Not even the Old Man...
Our escape will be complete

Grant me my invisible cloak, You who read my heart
I am riddled and ready
I long to sacrifice my sorrow and slip away

This I ask
Honesty, loyalty, and friendship.
One man
Who wants one woman
Because, what can I hold?
Grant me, finally, just one soul
In the eyes of so many lovers
We become tears with no names.
