Taken 1974 - 75

I ask Thee of me and the world
And You say,
You are at war with the world
But since you remember me, I am with thee
And if you heed, you will not perish

I ask Thee of the aftermath
And of life apart from the war
And You said,
At last, all people will cling to Me
All nations join
There will be courage, and rejoicing.
I make all things, and Man, thou art My desire

I called upon Thee, and I said
In the face of my trials, and my labor, am I worthy?
You said
With your simple integrity you will prosper.

I called upon Thee again, and said,
And all those I love, and the endeavors I love, are we worthy?

You said
Thou art ascending like the angels Jacob saw
Ascending and descending the golden ladder
You are rising
You are quickening

I ask again
Thee and me,
Shall we be united?

And You say
Thou art unto me life hidden
As rain unto seed shall I be unto thee
Life
And thee,
Home, unto Me
