November 12th 2008 Dialog with God
I want you to help me get there, Lord. Help me to understand. There are times when I feel like my mindspirit is growing into a huge vault, all filled with with life and light; above, below, and mid-heaven. And wriggling free of the elements like a new being shrugging off the old chrysalis. The old confines have been outgrown, and this life is so big.
And You, Friend, You have called me even beyond this, into a kingdom which is not of this world, this creation. How I long to understand what this really means. That I am a part of a body, the body of Christ, and that You are seated in heavenly places, and I am there seated with you.
It is a birth of a different sort. It was initiated by your death. You were birthed from that death by the midwife of God, not into a world of corruption, but into an eternal one. You, the head, we the body. So here lies the body, still in this corrupting world; and You, You are seated on a throne in a Kingdom eternal; and in that I am in You, I also am seated in that Kingdom. A body in the world. A King on an eternal throne.
A corpse can but wait, and we await You, Friend; we await either our own death which births us in turn into that other Kingdom, or we await Your return, when we shall transform and arise; shrugging off the dust of the old confine to join You, in the air again, but no longer subject to the old death. Indeed, dead to the world and freed from its fears.
Where the body is, there the eagles gather. Or be they vultures; those birds of prey who feed on flesh. You promised the birds an Armageddon feast, and your own body supplies the first taste.
Beyond what we could hope for in this life, You have opened a door. Beyond what we could journey into, here, or below in the Underworld, You have opened a door. No longer dependent upon the elemental creation; we have a door into an eternal kingdom. The elements of Your kingdom can be manifest here as a communion in which we partake; and this is the mystery we proclaim then, Christ in you, the hope of glory. Bread and wine then become our supper with the eternal, and flesh and blood, the evidence. It is upon this that my salvation rests; the food I have eaten which has identified me with the host who has provided. This is the food the world does not see; it is to do the will of God. And the will of God? To believe in the one He sent.
In that You died, Friend, and descended to the Underworld, and presented it with the Light that comes into the world, by what light then does it still live if not the Light that came into the world? Now two thousand years ago, Friend, and at the right time You came, the true Light.
Every people group has its questions, its quests, its visions, its stories, and You must answer them all. Show me how. Give me language, and give me power to manifest. I want to show and tell.
