Resonance July 20 2007
As much as it is possible for human to know You
That is how I want to know You.
Having gained that, add all things
So that I may truly know You
As everything
Every form was born upon Your breath.
You breathed a word
And there, it formed.
It became a vessel for the breath
A memory for the reality
How transparent everything is
How could we have slipped
Into thinking we needed some thing
To gain access to You?
I know - there is a veil of doubt
And it is thrown over the people like a shroud of dust
So they can’t see
The sky
The trees waving
The horse’s eye
They can’t hear
The deer stamping
The wind whispering
The thousand tongues of water
I knew, I knew, but I couldn’t either.
Now I trust.
You will tug off the dusty shroud
And we will blink in the light.
Would I be sorry to lose those things
That are deep, and dark
Where the root hairs of faith
Find sustenance in secret?
For we are drawn to the deep and the dark...
It is a prerequisite.
You walk in deep darkness--
You walk along the bottom as well as the surface of the water
Will it be all light, with no shadow?
Only as You see it
Only as You see it
Invested with your breath
Infinite in its dark, its deep
Its meaning and its beauty
As You see it
So I can see.
To know
As a form unveiled
To know
As the breath unformed
To know
As the One who spoke that I might be known
Here then is the resonance of all things
