Faith  Hope and  Love

Faith is like a rock
It takes the wind and the waves
It holds up year after year
And storm after storm
It’s a safe place to build on
A firm place for the foot.
There is no other place
To build a lasting life
If not on Faith.

Hope is like a candle
It’s not the light of day
But if kept burning
It will get us through the night
And give us light to see
And something to hold on to.

Love is like this heart
Big enough to rest your head on
Lost if you misplace it
Some say it grows more lovely
With each mended seam
And patched up hole.
I know that all my life
I have run to love.
