He Is The Door Key of G ca 96-00
1) All good things come down from above
And the good thing He gave me is to be like Him
Conformed to the image of the One who shed His blood
Of the One who suffered shame, and died upon the cross
2) For all I know is Christ, and Him, crucified
He was the God of Jacob, but He laid His Glory by
And I am just a commoner, next to Him, who am I?
Just a thief and a turncoat, nothing notable am I
3) With a towel round His waist, He washed their feet
He knelt down before them, taking hold of their soles
He showed them the freedom and the choice of Love
To never mind the shame, and to choose the way of God
Chor
When He was tired, He rested in His Father
When He was troubled, He groaned aloud
When He was sorrow full, He sweated drops of blood
He resorted to the Spirit when He felt the weakness of the man
But He was free, and He never forgot
He was a king, and He behaved deliberately
For He chose to be noble and submit Himself to God
His eyes fixed on the glory that was His beyond the grave
Cont.
4) Now my flesh is weak, I have my doubts, I make mistakes
And sin clouds my heart from time to time
But I know He is the Way, He is the Door I can go through
There is no other thing for an honest soul to do
For all I know is Christ, and Christ is all
He is my hope, and my bright morning star
I am made anew, having died with Him
Made a bride and a dwelling, Oh, how fortified am I
All Good things come down from above
And the good gift He gave us is to be like Him
Conformed to the image of the One who loved His own
Knock on the Door, and when He opens, enter in
Chor:
When you are tired, rest in your Shepherd
When you are troubled, groan aloud
When you are sorrow full, stand before His fount of blood
Make your petition to the Spirit for the weakness of the man
He made us free, and I’ll never forget
He stands before us, King of kings
I choose to be noble and lay down my life for Him
My eyes fixed on the glory that steps forth beyond the grave
